The 3 Day Colon Cleanse
Have you ever woken up and said to yourself, “Oh my gosh, I’m so bloated!” I'm sure you have and we know that feeling can be dreadful. It makes it even more difficult to get out of bed and be productive. If you’re like me, you’ll notice this as a sign to take immediate action by removing any of the toxins in my body with these three easy steps...
In the morning, drink hot water, squeezing half a lemon into the water.. Drinking this basic potion gives the colon hydration to push everything out while the lemon cuts through junk in the stomach making things easier to flow. Wait 45 mins to an hour to eat or drink anything to achieve the best results.
After waiting almost an hour, cook up some organic oatmeal. The two best places to purchase oatmeal are Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods--they sell great quality, sugar-free oats. Oatmeal is nutrient-dense and contains a lot of fiber to push everything out. So I use this as a go-to guarantee cleanser almost daily. For the people that dislike plain oatmeal, try adding strawberries, blueberries, and coconut sugar. Berries are great cleansers as well, so you can consider that as the next topping. With 1 (8oz) cup of oats and 1 glass of filtered water, you can almost guarantee the perfect cleanse. But, there's only one more essential step. This next step can be difficult for most, but will eventually get easier as you notice a positive change in your body.
Last but not least, maintaining a fruit and vegetable rich diet for the next of these 3 days. This step is critical because greens have the ability to heal the body from any toxins we had prior to this cleanse. When the stomach gets backed up, the food begins to sit and rot if we aren't eating enough fiber, fruit and vegetables.. To make this cleanse easier, incorporate vegetables in each meal for the rest of the day to guarantee great success with this cleanse.
Maintaining a healthy diet for our whole lives would be great but we love to enjoy our desserts and bad snacks. Bloating can be handled without medication, but be mindful of what you put in your body. We only have one so we need to take care of it as much as possible. Some extra tips can be to stay away from wheat, sugar, and lactose. Good luck on your cleanse! Let us know how it went!
